Massage is one of the most relaxing healthcare options for fostering wellness and one of the most effective for addressing pain arising from soft tissue injury or malfunction in the body.
Massage Types
The following massage modalities are offered through Foster Wellness
SwedishThis is one of the most common types of massage therapy. Swedish massage involves rubbing and kneading of the hands and includes a combination of soft, long kneading strokes and light, rhythmic tapping strokes. It can relieve muscle tension and help after an injury.

Deep TissueThis method applies pressure to deep tissue, muscles, and tendons, using rubbing and kneading of the hands. Pressure can be either gentle or strong in application. Deep tissue massages can remove tension and help with muscle injuries.

Trigger Point TherapyTrigger Point Dry Needling Acupuncture (TrPDNA) is a technique of resolving pain and compromised function by needling specific bands of tissue in muscle which are in a state of hyper-engagement. Learn more about TrPDNA here.

Sports MassageLike tui na, sports massage is typically performed while you are fully clothed; sports massage is meant to help invigorate your muscles in preparation for a physical training event (e.g., a run through Discovery Park) or, if performed after, to help with circulation and reduce possibility of sore muscles.

Injury RehabilitationWhether from repetitive stress (such as neck or wrist strain from working at a desk), sports training, or a car, bike, or other accident, massage can usually help in your body's recovery. Please contact me if you have any questions about your particular circumstances, as a combination of acupuncture and massage might be in your best interest.

Add-Ons:
Hot Stone: Stones are heated to a comfortable temperature and used during the massage to help release deep muscular tension. Please note that hot stone massage is not available for in-home sessions. Cupping: Also called "fire cupping", this Eastern technique uses glass cups suctioned to the skin of the back, legs, or other areas, to achieve fluid movement which may alleviate stasis and relieve tissue adhesions. Note that each appointment will include an interview and assessment to determine your needs for the day. If you have questions, or would prefer something not listed here, Greg will customize a treatment to meet your needs. Please also see "Combo Services" for other treatments. |

What Our Clients Say
"Woohoo! As good as it gets! That pretty much sums things up.
I've been receiving massage from Greg Lewerenz for a couple of years now and I have to give him a sincere shout out. I'm always happy with the work I receive. Greg is a highly trained and talented practitioner of massage and acupuncture and he's also a yoga instructor. What a combination of skills that make one whole man. Greg is always very present and is somehow able to give a very deep massage while still having it be very soothing. Beautiful space in Magnolia too. Immaculate!"
