- Swedish
- Deep tissue
- Trigger point therapy
- Tui na (unlike the other modalities, tui na is usually performed fully clothed, using pressure points, friction, and other techniques to bring the body into balance)
- Hot stone: stones are heated to a comfortable temperature and used during the massage to help release deep muscular tension. Please note that hot stone massage is not available for in-home sessions.
- Pre-natal/Pregnancy massage: pregnancy massage can help reduce low back pain and provide a general relaxation at this exciting time in your life. Except during the first weeks of pregnancy, the massage is typically performed in a side-lying position for the comfort of mom and baby.
- Injury rehabilitation: whether from repetitive stress (such as neck or wrist strain from working at a desk), sports training, or a car, bike, or other accident, massage can usually help in your body's recovery. Please contact me if you have any questions about your particular circumstances, as a combination of acupuncture and massage might be in your best interest.
- Cupping: also called "fire cupping", this Eastern technique uses glass cups suctioned to the skin of the back, legs, or other areas, to achieve fluid movement which may alleviate stasis and relieve tissue adhesions.
- Sports massage: like tui na, sports massage is typically performed while you are fully clothed; sports massage is meant to help invigorate your muscles in preparation for a physical training event (e.g., a run through Discovery Park) or, if performed after, to help with circulation and reduce possibility of sore muscles.
