Intraoral Massage/Acupuncture
I am certified in the State of Washington as a provider of intraoral massage therapy. Such therapy can help relieve pain and improve mobility in those with temporal mandibular disorders (TMD), including bruxism (tooth grinding), which can result in limited ability to open the jaw or pain upon closing or opening the mouth as in chewing. To address such conditions, I combine massage of the neck, head, face, as well as intraoral techniques where, using disposable medical gloves, I access and massage the muscles inside the mouth. An intraoral massage session can be combined effectively with extraoral acupuncture (needles in arms and legs and/or on the face).
For more details on your specific condition and how either intraoral massage alone or in combination with acupuncture can help, please contact me.
